March Updates

Hello all,
I've been keeping busy with a little bit of everything. I started knitting again and I finally finished my shawl that I started way back in September. I used 10 skeins of Inca Alpaca yarn by Classic Elite, which I purchased at Unwind. If you live in the San Fernando Valley and haven't visited Unwind, go.... GO NOW! Stop reading and GO. Je je.

I felt warm and fuzzy after I finished the shawl that I immediately started making a scarf out of Mochi plus.

I found this yarn at Michael Levine's. This store is AMAZING!!! I always come home with awesome finds. The beads were from Bead Source and the bracelet were from Chinatown, but the rest was from Levine's... I'll let you bask in it's rainbow goodness.

I have still been keeping up with bookbinding. Life has been much easier since I invested in a guillotine. I made this Coptic book for my friend's birthday.

And for those who are curious, I'm still keeping up with my photo a day project. Here are some highlights.

A girl can never have too many bags.

I made another bag. This one is a messenger bag. I think I'm going to use it for my sketch book,  pencils and portable watercolor set. I don't mean to brag, but it's pretty darn awesome.

This pattern came from Sew What! Bags. It was quite simple and fun to make.

The bag consists of rectangles, which makes life so easy. I don't know why I didn't start bag making with straight edges. The first few bags I made had round edges. This can be a pain to sew if you are a beginner.

I also made sure to add lots of pockets! I was very excited because this was the first project where I didn't have to completely rip out my stitches and redo my project.

Now here are random pictures from February and March.
